WHEREAS: The Office of Residential Life has received budget cuts and Thanksgiving programming is one of the areas that was impacted by budget cuts.
WHEREAS: The Office of Residential Life usually provides Thanksgiving meals and community building programming for students who are not able to go home during the short holiday break.
WHEREAS: The Illinois College Student Senate has a responsibility to ensure that students are being taken care of, especially considering that dining options are not open to students during the break.
RESOLVED: The Student Senate will reimburse up to $300 to the Office of Residential life in order to pay for the Thanksgiving programming for students staying on campus over Thanksgiving break.
